Maria is registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). At Westboro Psychology, Maria also works as a psychometrist in the field of psycho-educational assessments.
Background
Maria holds an Honours Bachelor degree in Psychology from Carleton University and a Master of Arts degree in Counselling and Spirituality from Saint Paul University. She completed a two-year clinical placement at the Saint Paul University Counselling Centre prior to working in private practice.
Maria is adept with providing a wide variety of well-founded test measures that assess cognition, achievement, memory, attention and information processing. Within the testing environment, Maria endeavours to provide an encouraging, welcoming, caring and secure space for individuals to exhibit their skills and the extent of their knowledge.

Maria's therapeutic style is rooted in a warm, client-centred approach. She focuses on building self-awareness and situational-awareness with clients in order to help them integrate meaningful change in their lives.
Her main therapeutic orientation is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), in addition to which she regularly incorporates elements of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness.
Maria works creatively with clients in session and takes a flexible approach to therapy in order to best meet an individual's unique needs.
