For over 30 years, Colette has had the privilege of providing counselling support to youth (12+), their caregivers and adults in the Ottawa community.
In addition to providing individual therapy, Colette is a co-founder of COPE Well Groups and co-facilitates DBT-Informed Groups for teens, caregivers and young adults.
Background
A cornerstone of Colette’s therapeutic approach has been to create a warm, non-judgemental space whereby clients feel heard, validated and respected. Colette supports individuals from a lens of compassion and inclusivity that encourages
clients to create a pathway towards living their preferred, authentic lives.
Prior to working in private practice, Colette worked in the public sector and supported the development and implementation of a number of mental health services within the City of Ottawa. Throughout her career, Colette has been an ally and advocate for the 2SLGBTQ+ community.

Therapeutic Style
Colette provides support based on a variety of evidence based therapeutic methods and techniques including; Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour
Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (TF-CBT), Narrative Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy and Attachment Focused Therapy. Colette has a strong interest in Somatic Experiencing (SE) and Polyvagal Theory.
