As a mature therapist with a strong foundation in health, movement, and mindfulness, Dabrowka provides a somatic, grounded, and holistic perspective to therapy sessions with clients. Clients appreciate Dabrowka’s calm presence, practical insight, genuine engagement, and ability to support emotional growth through evidence-based psychotherapy techniques combined with mind-body awareness.
During therapy sessions with clients, Dabrowka excels in her ability to blend playful curiosity with astute thinking and sincere conversation. She skillfully balances a thoughtful and considerate approach to intervention with the encouragement and accountability that her clients need to meet their therapy goals. Dabrowka believes that therapy can be both a place for deep insight, and, at times, for a much-needed breath of lightness. Dabrowka is passionate about creating a non-judgmental therapy space where clients feel safe enough to explore deeper layers of their experiences, especially during periods of change, loss, or self-questioning. Her clinical training combined with her strong emotional regulation skills, promote Dabrowka’s ability to support others to find steadiness during uncertain times. Dabrowka has the ability to blend strength and softness, allowing her to offer both structure and space for her clients.

In order to live a balanced lifestyle and to maintain the energy she requires to provide therapeutic support to others, Dabrowka is diligent with her own self-care. She spends time outdoors everyday, engaging in various forms of movement like walking, hiking, skiing and tennis. She also teaches mind-body connection movement (yoga), practices Lagree, and engages in strength training for health maintenance and well-being. Dabrowka likes to explore through travel and deeply values quality time spent with her adult children.

Dabrowka provides individual psychotherapy to adults facing various challenges including but not limited to life transitions, life obstacles, anxiety, and identity shifts. She is drawn to work with individuals who value a holistic, insight-driven approach and those who are experiencing burnout, or nervous system dysregulation. Her approach is strengths-based and client-centred, grounded in authenticity and respect for each person’s lived experience
Background
In addition to training in evidence-based psychotherapy techniques, Dabrowka brings depth of life history and a determined spirit to her later-in-life career as a psychotherapist. Her strong interpersonal skills, emotional attunement, and deep understanding of mind-body connection result from her two decades of work in the health and wellness field. Previous experience as a certified Lagree and yoga instructor, Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, and Menopause Fitness Specialist, has honed Dabrowka’s ability to motivate and inspire others, to listen actively, and to create a safe and supportive environment for personal growth.

Dabrowka is in the process of completing the practicum portion of her Master of the Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University under the clinical supervision of an in-house and seasoned Registered Psychotherapist at Westboro Psychology. She has experience assisting in the facilitation of Parenting-focused Dialectical and behavioural Therapy (DBT) informed groups with COPE Well Groups. She has also gained important and relevant experience through providing administrative support to therapy clients and psychotherapists in the clinical setting.

Dabrowka’s therapeutic style is collaborative, non-judgemental, and compassionate. She strives to create a space where clients feel safe to explore their inner world and reconnect with their sense of self. She is both kind and straightforward in her interaction style. She applies a client centered and integrative therapeutic approach that includes elements of evidence-based practices including Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical and Behavioural Therapy and Narrative Therapy. Dabrowka’s work with clients is also drawn from somatic and mindfulness-based practices. Dabrowka works with her therapy clients to improve emotional regulation skills, and to gain the personal insights they require to shift unhelpful patterns and improve functioning.
