Background

Erinn completed a B.A. in Psychology at the University of Victoria in 2013, an M.A. in Counselling Psychology at McGill University in 2017, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Psychodynamic Counselling at the University of Oxford in 2019. She has over four years of experience providing psychotherapy and assessment services to teens and adults in university and private practice settings. Erinn is a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and she is working towards licensure as a Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists of Ontario under the supervision of Jamie D. Brooks, M.Sc., C. Psych.

 

Erinn is currently providing continuity (through audio and visual therapy services) to previously established Westboro Psychology clients while located in the United Kingdom, with the intention of returning to Canada to continue face-to-face services to both on-going and new clients. 

Areas of Focus

Erinn is experienced in helping clients to manage a variety of issues, including: 

 

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Self-confidence and self-esteem issues

  • Difficulties with assertiveness

  • Relational trauma

  • School or work-related stress

  • ADHD

  • Adjustment, transitions, and life decisions

 

She also works frequently with individuals who identify with the gifted and LGBTQ+ communities.

Therapeutic Style

Erinn's therapeutic orientation integrates aspects of the client-centered, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural, and solution-focused approaches to therapy. She tailors her approach to the unique needs of each client, and strives to create a collaborative, non-judgmental environment in which clients can feel understood, respected, and empowered as they work toward their goals.
